Job Description

Hybrid: This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Warren – GM Global Technical Center three times per week, at minimum or other frequency dictated by the business

As the Policy and TechEx Lead, you will:

  • Provide visionary leadership for the development, implementation, and governance of organizational policies, ensuring alignment with global regulations and industry best practices.

  • Champion the use of data analytics and performance metrics to drive decision-making, operational improvements, and strategic reporting.

  • Lead cross-functional policy review committees and facilitate stakeholder engagement.

  • Monitor global regulatory changes, assess their impact, and ensure timely updates to policies, procedures, and team knowledge.

  • Prepare executive-level reports and recommendations for senior leadership.

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop and maintain a robust policy management and technical governance framework.

  • Oversee the integration of technical expertise and analytics into policy and operational processes.

  • Collaborate with legal, compliance, and operational leaders to ensure holistic risk management and regulatory alignment.

  • Identify and implement opportunities for process innovation, policy simplification, and technical excellence.

  • Drive change management initiatives and foster a high-performance, collaborative team culture.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of post graduate experience in progressive experience in policy development, dangerous goods compliance, technical program management, or a related area.

  • Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, including experience supervising technical and analytics professionals.

  • Strong strategic, analytical, and communication abilities.

  • Proven experience with policy management systems, technical documentation, or data-driven performance management.

  • Ability to interpret complex global regulations and translate them into actionable strategies and policies.

  • Must be willing to travel 25% of the time

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in; Business, Engineering, Environmental Science, Data Analytics, or a related field.

  • Advanced degree or professional certification in policy, compliance, technical management, or analytics (Certified Dangerous Goods Professional).

  • Experience in a regulated industry (e.g., automotive, hazardous materials, logistics, manufacturing).

  • Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional and global teams.

  • Expertise in dashboard development, KPI/KSI development, and executive reporting.

  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and change management skills.
