Role
We are seeking a Demand & Supply Planning Analyst to ensure alignment between production forecasts and supplier capacity across GM South America. This role combines advanced analytics, automation, and programming capabilities with supply chain expertise to deliver proactive solutions that protect production continuity and optimize supplier performance.
What you will do (responsibilities)
• Manage contracted supplier capacity across GM South America, ensuring alignment with production forecasts and DSB decisions.
• Monitor mix changes and volume fluctuations; conduct scenario analysis using advanced analytics tools.
• Support commercial negotiations and resolve issues impacting supply capacity.
• Develop and implement strategic action plans for critical supplier situations.
Digital Analytics & Automation
• Design and implement automated dashboards and reports using BI tools and Python scripts.
• Develop predictive models and algorithms to anticipate capacity risks and optimize supply-demand balancing.
• Apply data manipulation and visualization techniques to improve decision-making speed and accuracy.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Interface with Purchasing, PPM, Engineering, Supply Chain to ensure integrated planning and execution.
• Prepare engineering documentation detailing daily volumes and vehicle lifecycle.
• Conduct training sessions for buyers on supplier capacity management and digital tools.
Risk Mitigation & Continuous Improvement
• Proactively identify and mitigate issues related to contracted capacity vs. EDI and plant production capacity.
• Recommend process optimization initiatives leveraging automation and advanced analytics.

Your skills and abilities (required qualifications)
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Administration, Foreign Trade or related field.
• Intermediate to Advanced English.
• Proven experience in Supply Chain, with strong exposure to capacity and production planning processes.
• Hands-on experience with data analytics and automation projects.
Technical Skills
• Proficiency in BI tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Programming language skills (e.g. Python); experience with automation frameworks desirable.
• Knowledge of supply chain principles, demand-supply balancing, and forecasting.
• Familiarity with SQL and data manipulation tools for datasets.
