The Senior Associate, R&D Outsourcing will report directly into the Senior Manager, R&D Outsourcing. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: overseeing work order and/or contract development and overall contract management; purchase order requisitioning and invoice resolution; Sunshine Act reporting; support with our month-end expense reconciliation and reporting; and supporting vendor selection initiatives through RFI and RFP support. This role collaborates with multiple functional areas such as Compliance, Legal, Finance, Purchasing and Accounts Payable in addition to R&D.

- College degree with 4+ years of work experience
- Prior experience supporting clinical development, clinical operations, clinical supply chain or related R&D areas preferred
- Excellent attention to detail
- Adaptable to changing priorities, excels in fast-paced environment.
- Perform job duties with minimal supervision and guidance; manage direct reports as needed
- Excellent organization, time management, collaboration, and multi-tasking skills

- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills preferred (i.e., Pivot Tables, Formulas, etc.)
Alkermes has recently adopted a hybrid working environment to support and meet the needs of employees and this role will operate in a flexible environment with 60% of time in the office and 40% from home. This position is eligible for the hybrid workplace model, requiring work to be completed onsite at our Waltham, MA office at least 3 days per week. This role is not eligible for fully remote work.
The annual base salary for this position ranges from $78,000 - $90,000. In addition, this position is eligible for an annual performance pay bonus. - Serves as a Contract Liaison for R&D:
- Responsible for contract initiation, functional review, execution, and archival
- Responsible for contract lifecycle management including tracking expiration, purchase order adherence, and scope change
- Supports month-end expense reconciliation; this support will be leveraged during the quarterly and annual budget and forecasting processes
- Coordinates new vendor onboarding submissions with Procurement
- Supports new vendor onboarding with Compliance, as well as ongoing vendor updates, requalification, and service change
- Coordinates scheduling and logistics for all Outsourcing managed meetings, inclusive of CRO/vendor capabilities presentations, governance meetings, and contract-related discussions.
- Supports and manages Sunshine Act reporting including quarterly internal inventory reporting, vendor expense collection, internal payment report review, and year end data submission.
