The Manager (m/f/d) of Corporate Accounting for Allianz/PIMCO Group companies or branches plays a crucial role in supporting the organization's financial reporting and accounting functions. This position involves managing ongoing tasks, reporting, and support requests, as well as responding to ad-hoc inquiries. The Manager is responsible for assisting with the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and actively participating in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes. Collaboration with various departments is essential to gather financial data, perform reconciliations, and assist in audits, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently and autonomously record and process all accounting transactions including payment processes within the Corporate Accounting department of PIMCO Prime Real Estate GmbH, including its foreign branches.
- Actively resolve accounting issues related to HGB, IFRS, and taxes, while continuously enhancing Corporate Accounting processes.
- Assist in the timely preparation and communication of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, and coordinate with other corporate units and auditors as needed.
- Oversee and partially prepare the calculation of management fees, including documentation for investors, as well as other reconciliations.
- Prepare statistical and tax reports.
- Invoicing of Asset Management and other income relating services
Key Requirements
- University degree in Economics or comparable education (e.g. Chartered Accountant)
- At least 5 years of professional experience in accounting, auditing, or controlling.
- Comprehensive understanding of various departments, the Allianz SE Group, its business model and the respective warehouse concept as a plus.
- Strong proficiency in SAP modules FI, ECCS, and MS Office.
- Excellent expertise in the SAP environment.
- Thorough knowledge of accounting in accordance with IFRS, HGB, and tax GAAP, as well as the preparation of consolidated financial statements under IFRS.
- Proficient in balance sheet and consolidation matters.
- Proficiency in both German and English, with a passion for international collaboration.
- Strong analytical skills.
