We're seeking an R&D Team lead with a strong software engineering background and proven leadership capabilities to lead the development of Classiq's quantum execution platform.

This role combines scalable software engineering with quantum computing to build the infrastructure and execution capabilities that bring quantum applications to life

a cross diverse hardware and simulator backends.

What you'll do

• Lead and grow a team of talented software engineers.
• Own the architecture, technical direction, and delivery of Classiq's quantum execution platform.
• Build scalable infrastructure for orchestrating quantum execution across hardware providers, simulators, and cloud environments.
• Develop a deep understanding of quantum applications and backend capabilities to optimize execution performance and enable new execution capabilities.
• Drive high standards of software quality, reliability, and engineering excellence.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Infrastructure, and other core teams to deliver production-ready capabilities.

Who you are

• 3+ years of experience leading high-performing software engineering or R&D teams of 5+ engineers.
• Experience designing scalable backend systems, distributed systems, and workflow orchestration platforms.
• Strong architectural thinking and the ability to translate complex concepts into production-quality software.
• Proven track record of hiring, mentoring, and growing engineering teams.
• Strategic thinker with excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Passion for solving challenging problems at the intersection of software engineering and complex technical domains.
