WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • The Senior Manager, Genesis Distribution, is responsible for the efficient allocation of Genesis vehicles to Genesis Motor America (GMA) franchised retailers. This role also oversees sales volume planning and production ordering in coordination with Hyundai Motor Corporation in Seoul, South Korea. In addition, the position is responsible for developing and maintaining strong partnerships with U.S. ports of entry supporting Genesis vehicle distribution. The Senior Manager provides leadership, guidance, and development to distribution support staff.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Lead Genesis U.S. vehicle distribution operations, including production and wholesale forecasting, vehicle ordering, receiving, and volume planning to achieve wholesale objectives.
  • Manage the end-to-end vehicle pipeline, ensuring optimal inventory balance across regions, ports, and model mix while addressing production constraints.
  • Oversee distribution systems (GERP/OTD), ensuring data accuracy and integrity for new model setup, inventory management, pricing, and production order communications.
  • Direct monthly vehicle allocation processes and coordinate production schedules with retailers and manufacturing partners.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, including Monroney labels, invoice accuracy, ancillary labels, and required disclosures.
  • Monitor order status, manage production communications, and provide timely updates on wholesale release timing to internal stakeholders.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Sales Planning, Product Line Management (PLM), and other business units to optimize production volume and vehicle mix.
  • Develop short- and long-term distribution strategies, including support for new model launches, system enhancements, and resource planning.
  • Provide executives with actionable analysis, reporting, and recommendations to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Lead governance activities by creating and presenting distribution-related materials for executive reviews and business meetings.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with Genesis Area staff, gathering field feedback and communicating key operational issues.
  • Manage special projects and ad hoc initiatives as required.
  • Directly supervise, mentor, coach, and develop team members to improve departmental effectiveness and performance.
  • Support and act as backup to the Senior Group Manager, Sales Planning and Distribution, when needed.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE

  • Must be a high school graduate.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Master’s degree a plus.
  • Eight or more years of experience.
  • Five plus years of automotive experience with experience in distribution management required.
  • Regional/Field background and experience a plus.
  • Three to five years of supervisory experience desired.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to multi-task.
  • Outstanding customer relations and interpersonal skills a must.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure and mulit-task in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment.
  • Strong analytical skills.

WHAT HYUNDAI CAN OFFER YOU

  • Compensation Range: $114,800.00 - $164,000.00 annual base salary
  • Monthly Hyundai/Genesis vehicle lease allowance (including insurance and maintenance)
  • Holiday Pay - the company shuts down with pay between Christmas and New Years.
