We are seeking an experienced Senior Python Engineer to join our engineering team and drive the development of robust, scalable, and high-performance backend solutions. In this role, you will design and implement core services, optimize data workflows, and contribute to architecture decisions that support mission-critical applications. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in Python, hands-on experience with distributed systems or data-intensive environments, and a passion for building reliable, production-grade software.

• Enabling the adoption of next-generation orchestration tool – Nextflow
• Build software components to automate and reduce human work to annotate and design a model
• Design and implement backend APIs using Nest.js,FastAPI integrating with data layers and external systems.
• Contribute to and review frontend features in React, ensuring seamless integration with backend services.
• Help design and shape the product, working closely with product managers, bioinformaticians, and other stakeholders to align technical decisions with product goals.
• Mentor and support other developers through code reviews, internal discussions, clean code and technical guidance.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, data, and infrastructure teams to define requirements and deliver solutions.
• Write and maintain technical documentation and high-level designs

The Tech You’ll Work With:

• Frontend: React, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS

• Cloud: Google Cloud Platform (GCP), AWS
• Additional tools: Python, R (familiarity a plus, not required)
• CI/CD & DevOps: Docker, Kubernetes

• 7+ years of experience as a full-stack or backend-focused developer with expereise in data releate product.
• Proficiency in NodePython .js / Nest.js and experience with scalable API design.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, performance optimization, and cloud architectures.
• Experience leading projects or mentoring engineers — you enjoy helping others grow.
• Hands-on experience with modern frontend frameworks, preferably Reactin Python.
• Strong communication and planning skills, with the ability to provide technical input during project scoping.
• Track record of delivering efficiently in agile teams with shifting priorities.
• Proactive mindset — someone who can take ownership, identify problems, and propose solutions.

• Experience with Python or R for data-related workflows.
• Background in data-intensive systems or bioinformatics.
• Hands-on experience with modern frontend frameworks, preferably React.
• Familiarity with multi-cloud environments (GCP + AWS)
