#LI-HybridTeam Overview
As a DiDi Shop Growth Intern, you will support user and merchant strategy efforts for DiDi's in-app ecosystem, directly driving monthly active growth and incremental GMV (gross merchandise value). You will work within the DiDi Shop Growth team to deliver data-driven experiments, localized activation campaigns, and process improvements that increase shop sign-ups, activation rates, and merchant lifetime value, reinforcing DiDi’s strategy to deepen platform monetization and improve user experience across millions of riders and drivers.
Role Responsibilities
- Design and execute A/B tests and localized growth experiments to improve shop sign-up conversion and first-week activation, aiming for measurable uplifts in conversion rate (e.g., +5-15% per experiment).
- Analyze platform and merchant data to identify high-impact growth levers, producing weekly dashboards and actionable insights that inform product and marketing priorities.
- Coordinate end-to-end merchant acquisition campaigns (online and in-field), managing timelines, creative assets, and partner communication to reach monthly acquisition targets.
- Support onboarding and enablement processes by creating playbooks, onboarding flows, and FAQ resources that reduce merchant time-to-first-sale and improve activation KPIs.
- Collaborate with product managers and engineers to scope and prioritize feature requests based on merchant feedback and data, documenting requirements and success metrics for iterative releases.
- Conduct competitive and market research on local commerce trends and merchant pain points to propose new growth initiatives aligned with DiDi’s regional strategies.
- Monitor post-onboarding merchant health and retention signals, proposing targeted re-engagement tactics (promotions, training, co-marketing) to lift 30/60/90-day retention rates.
Role Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering, Business, Marketing, Economics, Statistics, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
- Proficiency in data analysis using Excel
- SQL, Python, or BI tools such as Tableau/Looke (nice to hacve)
- Familiarity with digital marketing channels (SEM, social, in-app push, CRM) and experience running or supporting performance campaigns with measurable KPIs.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills to work effectively with product, engineering, regional operations, and external merchant partners.
- A results-oriented, analytical mindset with attention to detail, demonstrated by prior project work, internships, or coursework that includes measurable outcomes.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment, prioritize multiple tasks, and adapt plans based on data and business needs.
- Cultural sensitivity and local market awareness relevant to DiDi’s operating regions, with the ability to tailor merchant strategies to urban mobility and local commerce dynamics.
