R&D Device and Test Engineer

Shenzhen, China | Full-time | On-site

DustPhotonics is a global innovator in Silicon Photonics, delivering advanced connectivity solutions for next-generation data centre technologies.

We are looking for a talented Device and Test Engineer to join our Shenzhen operations and play a critical role at our Contract Manufacturer (CM) site.

This position offers a unique combination of advanced technology, hands-on engineering and direct collaboration with international R&D teams.

Location

Shenzhen, China

Full-time | On-site (daily presence at CM required)

Compensation

Requirements

  • 8+ years in Test Engineering / Device & Test / Lab roles
  • Hands-on electrical and/or optical measurements
  • Strong analytical & data interpretation skills
  • Python / LabVIEW – advantage
  • Solid understanding of test methodologies & device physics
  • Semiconductor assembly – advantage
  • Photonics testing – strong advantage
  • Fluent English – mandatory
  • Strong ownership & hands-on mindset

Responsibilities

  • Own product sort and testing execution at CM
  • Lead daily test operations
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in real time
  • Support failure analysis and root cause investigations
  • Monitor yield, quality, and KPIs
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support introduction of new test solutions
  • Act as key technical interface with DustPhotonics R&D
  • Provide structured technical updates
