Manager of Forestry Partnerships

Employment Type: Full-Time

Location: Hybrid (Calgary preferred)

About Flash Forest

Flash Forest is a reforestation technology company using drones, automation, ecological science, and data to rapidly reforestlandscapes. By shifting tree planting from manual labour to autonomous systems, we deliver scalable, cost-effective climate solutions while restoring entire ecosystems.
Beyond automated planting, Flash Forest is building advanced forestry intelligence services using machine learning, geospatial data, and field validation to support land managers, governments, and industrial clients across North America.
With headquarters in Toronto and operations expanding across Canada and the U.S., this is a pivotal time to join a growing, mission-driven company at the intersection of forestry, technology, and climate action.
This is a hybrid role with quarterly travel to Toronto HQ and additional domestic/U.S. travel for client meetings, site visits, and government or partner engagements. Preference will be given to candidates based in Alberta, particularly Calgary.

The Role

Flash Forest is seeking a forestry-grounded sales leader to take ownership of commercial execution across our silviculture and forest intelligence offerings.
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this individual will lead business development and contract negotiation for silviculture services including planting, herbicide, manual tending, and associated service procurement. The role requires someone credible in front of forest tenure holders, Registered Professional Foresters (RPFs), Indigenous partners, and government stakeholders.
This is not a purely business development role. Success requires a strong understanding of silviculture operations, regulatory frameworks, and forest management systems, combined with disciplined sales execution and procurement experience.
You will translate Flash Forest’s technical capabilities into commercially viable silviculture programs and long-term forestry partnerships.

Proposal Development & Procurement

  • Prepare and lead proposals
  • Develop budgets, cost estimates, and implementation plans
  • Coordinate internally with operations, engineering, and science teams to ensure delivery feasibility
  • Manage CRM records, pipeline tracking, and forecasting discipline

Who You Are

  • A driven, self-directed sales leader who takes full ownership of revenue targets
  • Comfortable negotiating service contracts and engaging technical forestry stakeholders
  • Credible in field environments and boardrooms alike
  • Experienced in silviculture program development and implementation
  • Able to translate regulatory requirements into commercially viable proposals
  • Execution-oriented and accountable for revenue outcomes
