POSITION OVERVIEW
The Accountant III (Senior Accountant) plays a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, strengthening accounting processes, and supporting the integration of acquired companies into our standardized financial structure. This role focuses primarily on core accounting activities—general ledger integrity, close process excellence, financial analysis, and process improvement—while providing accounting input into our ERP environment as needed. This role also helps simplify and standardize accounting processes, ensure strong internal controls, and contributes to a smooth transition of new entities into our chart of accounts and reporting model.
This is an onsite position located in Holland, MI. It is not open to hybrid or remote work at this time.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analyses.
Ensure accuracy and consistency of the general ledger across assigned accounts.
Prepare and review financial reports and schedules to support internal and external reporting.
Strengthen accounting controls, documentation, and process consistency.
Provide financial analysis and insights to leadership, including performance trends and KPI support.
Assist with audit requests and ensure compliance with US GAAP and internal policies.
Contribute to simplifying and standardizing accounting workflows across entities.
Participate in integration efforts for acquired companies, ensuring alignment with accounting policies and reporting structures.
Support data validation, account mapping, and process readiness during system transitions.
Work cross‑functionally with Accounting, Finance, and IT to ensure accounting requirements are correctly represented in Oracle.
Assist with testing, processing documentation, and control enhancements related to accounting processes in ERP.
Identify opportunities to streamline reconciliations, reporting, and operational accounting procedures.

WHAT TO BRING
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
5+ years of progressive accounting experience; strong understanding of US GAAP required.
Solid general ledger, close process, and financial reporting experience.
Experience working with ERP systems (Oracle preferred) from an accounting user perspective.
Ability to analyze, understand, and simplify accounting processes and structures.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Current and continuing right to work in the United States without sponsorship.
WHAT WILL HELP
CPA or actively pursuing CPA certification.
Master's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
Experience supporting the integration of acquired entities or multi‑entity accounting environments.
Exposure to process improvement methodologies.
Strong Excel or data analysis capabilities; experience with reporting tools such as Power BI is a plus.
