We are seeking a skilled Platform Engineer with strong experience in Databricks and Microsoft Fabric to support a leading insurance client. This role will focus on platform implementation, security enhancements, and enabling advanced analytics and AI capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Databricks Serverless implementation and remediation initiatives
• Drive Databricks security enhancements and best practices
• Enable and support GenAI use cases within Databricks
• Support machine learning (ML) enablement on Databricks
• Implement RBAC models across Databricks and Microsoft Fabric
• Contribute to Microsoft Fabric enablement and SDLC processes
• Set up and manage Fabric deployment pipelines
• Conduct Fabric security reviews and implement improvements

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Databricks (including serverless)
• Experience working with Microsoft Fabric
• Solid understanding of data platform security and RBAC models
• Exposure to GenAI and ML enablement in data platforms
• Experience with SDLC, CI/CD, and deployment pipelines
• Prior experience in the insurance domain is an asset

Contract Details

• Duration: 6+ months (extension possible)
• Location: Hybrid (Downtown Toronto)
• Rate : 80 -90$ per hour (37.5 hrs per week) This role does not have visa sponsorship options for candidates not based in Canada .
