We’re looking for a smart, curious and motivated Summer Intern to join our Events Marketing & Special Projects team within Corporate Communications. If you enjoy learning by doing, asking thoughtful questions and collaborating with a team that works hard and has fun, you’ll feel right at home.

In this role, you’ll help bring ideas to life by supporting the planning and execution of events, communications and culture-building initiatives that engage and inspire our colleagues — all grounded in our core values of innovation, creativity, partnership and social good. From researching chefs with our Corporate Events team to helping volunteer activities take shape with the Hearst Gives Back team and supporting Project Harmony’s cross-division promotional efforts, you’ll gain hands-on experience across a wide range of special projects.

Responsibilities

  • Gain hands-on experience with the corporate event planning process, supporting projects from early concept through execution, including research, vendor and talent sourcing, and internal event space management using Airtable.
  • Support the Project Harmony team by managing opportunity and placement trackers, identifying cross-collaboration opportunities through division newsletters and Teams channels, and drafting pitches for Hearst divisions.
  • Collaborate with the Hearst Gives Back team to help develop and support volunteer initiatives aligned with the causes colleagues care about, strengthening impact and fostering a culture of purpose and connection.
  • Balance multiple projects simultaneously while remaining flexible and adaptable as priorities evolve.

Qualifications

  • A strong interest in media and lifestyle trends, paired with thoughtful research and curiosity-driven problem-solving.
  • A high level of organization and attention to detail, with a strong sense of ownership over deadlines and follow-through.
  • Clear and confident communication, with strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and social media platforms, with familiarity using GenAI tools such as ChatGPT.

The internship will run from June 1, 2026-August 14, 2026, up to 35 hours per week.
