The Role…

As the Deputy Social Manager you will play a vital role in three historic brands, covering major cultural and fashion moments. Collaborating with editorial and video teams you will help to deliver engaging storytelling in the social space. Supporting the Head of Social in the day-to-day running of ELLE, Harper’s Bazaar and Esquire’s social platforms, you will help to plan and schedule content from TikTok, to Facebook, to Instagram.

This is an exciting role for someone who is social obsessed and has a strong interest in fashion and culture, and would thrive covering tentpole events like fashion month, The ELLE Style Awards and Harper’s Bazaar’s Women of the Year Awards.

Main Duties…

  • From writing captions to choosing imagery, you will be responsible for making sure engaging and on brand content is scheduled across all social platforms on a day-to-day basis.
  • You will work with the video team on each brand’s video franchises and decide how they feature on our social channels.
  • You will react to news in an engaging way, knowing the differences in how to cover the same news across different platforms and across the three different brands.
  • Data driven, you will be able use platform analytics and external tools to inform what topics and talent we should be covering.
  • From capturing content to editing videos, you will help cover tentpole events like fashion month, The ELLE Style Awards and Harper’s Bazaar’s Women of the Year Awards.
  • You will be working alongside different teams and liaising with senior stakeholders on a regular basis.

What We Are Looking For…

  • A self-starter - you will be proactive in your day-to-day tasks.
  • You will have experience working across multiple social media platforms for a large brand with a big following, preferably in luxury or fashion.
  • A confident writer, writing an engaging Instagram caption will be second nature.
  • You will have experience working closely with different stakeholders.
  • Social first, you will spot cultural moments quickly and come up with engaging ideas on how we should cover them.
  • You will understand the importance of images on social media and have an eye for strong, engaging images that fit the brand.
  • An ideas person, you will think of new ways we can create engaging content for our audiences.
