Key Responsibilities (What You Are Doing)

  • Design and execute high-quality visual solutions for digital content, including editorial features, landing pages, and templates
  • Create mood boards, infographics, illustrations, and other visual elements that enhance and support editorial storytelling
  • Develop engaging visual assets for social media platforms, including both static and motion-based content
  • Design video graphics and motion elements as needed for digital and social storytelling
  • Collaborate closely with editors and the art team to develop and present visual concepts in editorial planning meetings
  • Manage projects from concept through final delivery, ensuring creative excellence, brand alignment, and timely execution

Qualifications (What We’re Looking For)

  • 2+ years of relevant design experience, ideally in a media, editorial, or digital publishing environment
  • Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop and Illustrator; familiarity with InDesign preferred
  • Working knowledge of Figma required
  • Strong typography skills and experience designing for both web and mobile platforms
  • Experience creating GIFs, motion graphics, or video assets is a plus; illustration skills are a bonus
  • Working knowledge of After Effects and Premiere is a plus
  • A refined visual sensibility and strong understanding of maintaining brand consistency across platforms
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work hybrid in New York City with an expectation of 4 days per week in-office

The base salary for this role is $50/hour. The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as: transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
