Key Responsibilities (What You Are Doing)
Manage communication with brands and PR agencies to track and coordinate sample movement
Organize, maintain, and oversee the fashion closet to ensure a clean, efficient, and accessible workspace
Pack and unpack garment bags and trunks for photo shoots, and assist with on-set setup and breakdown
Coordinate messengers, couriers, and shipping logistics for incoming and outgoing fashion samples
Track inventory and ensure timely returns of samples to brands and agencies
Support editors with fashion pulls, market appointments, and editorial projects
Assist in building digital stories, covering events, and contributing to fashion and commerce content
Help schedule and coordinate fashion month events and team activities as needed
Qualifications (What We’re Looking For)
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage a high volume of tasks in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and multitasking abilities, especially under tight deadlines
Passion for editorial fashion and a strong understanding of current trends, designers, and the fashion landscape
Detail-oriented mindset with a proactive, team-first attitude
Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively across teams
Must be able to work 4 days per week in-office in New York City
The hourly rate for this role is $18 per hour. This position may be eligible for additional compensation and benefits, subject to company policy and applicable law.

The Fashion Closet Assistant supports the day-to-day operations of the fashion closet by organizing samples, tracking incoming and outgoing shipments, maintaining inventory, and assisting with returns to PR agencies and brands. This role also helps prepare for photo shoots, market appointments, and editorial projects by coordinating garment pulls, managing fashion credits, and providing general support to editors and the fashion team in a fast-paced fashion magazine environment.
Qualifications (What We’re Looking For)
- Previous fashion assistant or sample tracking experience, either as an intern or freelance/staff
- Extremely organized and able to manage high-volume of tasks effectively and efficiently
- Excellent communication and multi-tasking skills particularly when working in a deadline-driven environment
- A passion for editorial fashion content and knowledge of the latest fashion trends, brands, and markets
Key Responsibilities
