System Integration Engineer- Lidar Platform Group

Description

Innoviz Technologies is developing state-of-the-art LiDAR sensors for the automotive industry. The Lidar platform group is responsible for developing high-performance, multidisciplinary Lidar platforms. We are looking for a System Integration Engineer to join our great team! Our work spans optical, mechanical, electronic, and software domains, from concept through production. We collaborate closely with product, R&D, and manufacturing teams to ensure robust, scalable, and manufacturable solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and participate in system integration activities across hardware and software domains.
  • Define and execute integration test plans and validation procedures.
  • Develop and maintain automated test frameworks and infrastructure.
  • Work on wireless power transfer systems integration and validation.
  • Integrate and validate high-speed wireless optical communication links (1 Gbps Ethernet).
  • Develop and integrate motion control systems as part of the LiDAR platform.
  • Identify, debug, and resolve cross-disciplinary integration issues.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary R&D teams to ensure seamless system-level performance.

Requirements

  • B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, M.Sc. an advantage.
  • At least 3 years of experience in electrical engineering and system integration roles.
  • Experience with hardware-software integration and bring-up of complex electronic systems.
  • Hands-on experience with electronic lab equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, signal generators).
  • Familiarity with communication protocols (SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, Ethernet) and embedded systems.
  • Experience developing and working with automated test systems and frameworks.
  • Proficiency in MATLAB and Python for data analysis, scripting, and test automation.
  • Experience in design and analysis of multi-disciplinary systems.
  • Independent and self-managed.
  • Strong analytic and communication skills, teamwork, flexibility, and ability to work well in a dynamic, multi-disciplinary environment.
  • Experience with LiDAR, radar, or other sensing systems – an advantage.
