This role serves as a driver of Manufacturing Innovations in Joints Supply Chain manufacture site. The role is part of the site Manufacturing Innovation (MI) organization and will be reporting to the Manufacturing Innovation Customer Manager. This position demands a hands-on approach with a significant presence on site, ensuring active engagement and alignment with customer operations and internal innovation initiatives.
In accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson, procedures and guidelines, this position:
o Customer Engagement - Support the translation of site needs into engineering tasks and technical pilots that address immediate operational problems.
o Manufacturing Solution Design and Delivery - Assist in developing practical technical solutions, prototypes, and pilot plans. Participate in testing and validation activities and help ensure solutions are feasible for site implementation.
o Best Value for Money - Help prepare scoped and costed technical proposals and support basic ROI inputs. Identify potential internal and external funding sources and provide technical information for funding applications. Contribute to delivery plans across TRL 1 to TRL 9 under supervision.
o Process Roadmap Contribution - Execute engineering workstreams that align with the site innovation roadmap and site KPIs. Maintain assigned tasks in the site pipeline and support the delivery of annual improvements.
o Programme Support - Support technical workstreams from design through commissioning and handover. Help maintain schedule, raise and track technical risks, and deliver the intended operational benefits as part of a programme team.
o Involvement and Collaboration - Work across functions (Production, Quality, Maintenance, EHS, Supply Chain) to provide practical technical input and ensure customer requirements are addressed. Contribute to site/platform initiatives (e.g., JJPS, JJOS) as required.
o Manufacturing Accountability - Assist in identifying and implementing improvements to machine utilization, productivity, and line performance. Support installation, commissioning, and process change activities and provide guidance to site technicians under direction.
o Responsible for communicating business-related issues or opportunities to next management level
o Responsible for following all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices as applicable.
o For those who supervise or manage a staff, responsible for ensuring that subordinates follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition, if applicable
o Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures
o Performs other duties assigned as needed
