Job Description:

Major responsibilities

The Regional Planning Manager is responsible for E2E supply chain execution of the Trauma, CMF and Sports portfolio in the EMEA region.

The Regional Planning Manager has a first responsibility to protect quality, customer service, revenue, CAPEX and inventory levels through ensuring an accurate forecast, appropriate planning parameters, a smooth material flow and inventory allocation decisions for the portfolio.

The Regional Planning Manager is the first point of contact for regional supply chain liaising with global end-to-end planning, EMEA regional marketing and EMEA local planning teams to ensure achievement of aligned business goals and objectives. The Regional Planning Manager ensures coordination of the EMEA planning activities within the regional planning team (planners & analysts).

Key Responsibilities

Demand Planning & Lifecycle Management

  • Provide statistical forecast input for country/cluster demand planning process and run business forecasts over 24-month horizon for strategic and manufacturing/capacity planning.

  • Build and maintain product volume and mix forecasts using historical data, statistical models, and market intelligence.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to collect, analyze, and report key data, enhancing decision-making and bridging gaps in revenue, profitability, and cash conversion vs. the business plan.

  • Ensure forecast integrity in E2E Planning Systems.

  • Collaborate across functions within the BoM governance process to ensure appropriate BoMs are setup in regional planning and ERP systems.

  • Participate in New Product Introduction (NPI) and portfolio optimization processes, aligning demand plans to the portfolio strategy for both NPI and EOL and managing Phase in Phase Out (PIPO) changes at SKU level, communicating changes.

  • Collaborate with Data Governance to ensure product codes are created and obsoleted in regional systems at the right time.

IBP and Financial Integration

  • Analyze consolidated data for local demand review (DR) meetings, regional and executive MBR, demand handover (DHO) reviews, and integrated reconciliation, including creating and consolidating presentation materials, preparing agendas, tracking action execution and maintaining R&O trackers.

  • Consolidate local installation forecast to regional level, flagging gaps to CAPEX budgets and/or Funnel of Life (FoL), including netting of redeployment opportunities.

  • Ensure alignment between global, regional, and local IBP touchpoints, including demand handover processes.

  • Identify and address gaps between demand and financial plans, driving reconciliation actions.

Inventory Management

  • Lead regional inventory initiatives, including inventory entitlement coordination, planning parameter maintenance, SLOB monitoring and reduction actions, Inventory projections and IBP integration.

  • Apply segmentation strategies to optimize supply chain efficiency, including varying lead times and adjusting safety stock levels.

  • Track and support gross/net inventory value, Days of Supply (DOS), and SLOB inventory.

  • Manage inventory levels across the region, ensuring alignment with cash flow targets.

  • Manage returns process from regional to global hubs.

Service

  • Coordinate with Global Plan for timely product availability/service levels in the countries, Supply Feedback Loop (SFL) as the exception Supply Commit Process.

  • Ensure business continuity by managing the supply disruptions and demand surges by ensuring timely escalation for significant supply disruptions.

  • Coordinate event management of both demand and supply events (STEM) between global, regional and local stakeholders.

  • Improve OTIF performance and minimize backorder value (BO) through root cause analysis and corrective action planning.

  • Communicate supply issues, root causes, corrective actions, and recovery timelines to commercial and supply chain stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with marketing/sales to determine customer allocation decisions based on demand, supply, and customer prioritization strategies.

Analytics & Process Improvement

  • Measure and track the forecast accuracy (MAPE, BIAS) at different levels and initiate strategies and actions to continuously improve forecast accuracy, reduce errors, and optimize customer service and inventory metrics.

  • Support efforts to improve Integrated Business Planning (IBP) maturity.

  • Proactively recommend and implement process and system improvements.

  • Drive intelligent automation to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Improve inventory management policies, standards, technology, and procedures.

  • Represent team on projects as assigned.

Job Qualifications (PREFERENCES)

We are seeking a highly analytical and proactive individual with strong communication and collaboration skills to join our team

  • Results & Performance Driven: Must be highly motivated self-starter and confident to independently work in a remote team.

  • Analyze & Manage Data: Ability to apply sophisticated analytical skills to interpret large datasets with accuracy and attention to detail. Experience with scenario planning and supply chain analytics is preferred.

  • Collaborate & Communicate: Use strong interpersonal and presentation skills to convey complex insights clearly and effectively to diverse audiences. Build strong relationships across teams to influence decision-making and drive alignment on supply chain strategies.

  • Leverage Tools: Proficiently use Microsoft Excel, PowerBi, PowerPoint to analyze and present insights. Familiarity with MRP, APS, or ERP systems is a plus.

  • Problem-Solve: Identify issues, develop solutions, and ensure successful implementation by collaborating across teams.

  • Drive Improvement: Apply project management and continuous improvement methodologies, with Six Sigma, LEAN, or APICS certifications highly valued.

Education

Desirable: Master or equivalent experience in Business Administration or Engineering, Green Belt six-sigma certification, APICS Certification

Knowledge

  • 5+ years of proven experience

  • Experienced ERP & Planning Systems user

  • Supply chain experience in a highly regulated industry (e.g., medical devices or pharmaceutical industry).
