We are searching for the best talent for Principal Customs Technician Fixed term 12 Months to be in Juarez City

You will be responsible for:

  • Ensures and executes compliance of internal customs controls and performs internal Mexico Customs Audits.
  • Provides tariff classification for all merchandise for Mexico Customs.
  • Determine recommended tariff classification for all merchandise for US Customs.
  • Support on Annex 31 VAT New TAX Reform.
  • Provides technical support to internal Customs Department Customs Technicians related to his/her job description.
  • Coordinate import, export and traffic operations
  • Ensures, performs and coordinates the timely and secure flow of new product lines and transfers.
  • May participate in Internal Customs yearly forecast as well as financial analysis and reports related to budget.
  • Provides Customer support to clients related with Department Operations.
  • Ensures proper record keeping and archiving of customs documents, paper and/or electronic flies.
  • Provides training as needed to Customers and Associates.
  • Ensure and execute compliance, review implementations and follow up of the Internal Customs Department Procedures.
  • Coordinate and execute special projects
  • Processes Import/Export documents in compliance with Mexican and US Customs requirements.
  • Coordinates local traffic.
  • Prepares Customs reports as required.
  • Files all customs related documents.
  • Comply and adhere to Internal Customs Department Procedures.
  • Participate and promote activities to improve internal controls and requirements related to international business operations of the Company.
  • Follow all company safety policies and other safety precautions within the work area. Ensures compliance with Environmental Management System (EMS) responsibilities. Is his/her responsibility to comply with Company policies and procedures as well as local, state and federal regulations of the countries related to customs activity.
  • Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to the next management level.
  • For those who supervise or manage a staff, responsible for ensuring that subordinates follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition, if applicable
  • Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Performs other duties assigned as needed

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • A Minimum of High School Diploma is required.
  • Customs Technical Education or equivalent (Preferred). Lean Certification
  • (Preferred)
  • Customs broker in house license (Preferred)
  • 2-4 years of experience or equivalent knowledge and skills, necessary to satisfactory perform the position responsibilities.
  • Or College near completion or recently completed (International
  • Trades, Customs administration, Law, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, or Commercial Relations) Desirable.
  • Bilingual: English/ Spanish
  • GMP/ ISO knowledge.
  • Knowledge of Customs Practices in a manufacturing environment and IMMEX.
  • Working knowledge to formulate and process Pediments.
  • Customer service orientation
