The team focuses on the operational impacts of new products and transactions, business acquisitions and disposals, and oversight of the balance sheet and P&L general ledger for Macquarie Asset Management.

What role will you play?

You will be responsible for analysing and documenting judgements related to asset and liability valuations, impairment testing, and the accuracy of financial reporting. This role involves understanding key controls and judgements, collaborating effectively with both offshore and onshore teams, and reaching agreement on accounting outcomes with external auditors as well as business stakeholders. Additionally, you will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing financial processes.

What you offer

  • CA qualification or equivalent
  • Technical accounting or audit experience either with a Big 4 Chartered Accountancy firm and/or minimum 5 years’ experience in finance from a large, operationally complex organisation
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced environment prioritising and managing multiple priorities and stakeholders.
  • Experience in asset management sector and/or those who have worked with teams on offshore locations will be highly considered
  • Prior experience in the application of IFRS accounting standards to complex situations will be highly considered for joining this team.
