Our innovative People and Culture team creates best in class employee experiences for the Banking and Financial Services operating group. We play an important strategic advisory role, supporting business transformation within a purpose-centred, agile and digital environment.

This is a 12-month contract.

What role will you play?

As a People and Culture Partner you will play a key role in our technology transformation agenda, joining us at an exciting time of fast-paced growth as we remain on track to realise our aspiration to be the #1 Digital Bank in Australia. Partnering with our ai-first, customer-obsessed and highly collaborative D3E (Data, AI, Digital, Design and Engineering) teams, you will be curious in identifying opportunities to elevate employee engagement. You will provide advice and tactical support to deliver scalable people activities, including an alignment of culture, performance, leadership, capability, talent, employee relations, reward and DEI. There is also a high proportion of divisional-led projects that you will be involved in, as we test and learn from a wide variety of talent-focused and DEI initiatives, including input into Group-wide programs, in addition to collaboration with the broader Macquarie People and Culture team.

What you offer

  • Strong generalist background as a People and Culture professional working within an environment experiencing digital, technological or market disruption and growth. Experience in high-growth Tech and/or Retail Banking is highly regarded
  • Highly self-motivated with a proven record of delivery, collaboration, and influence within a fast-paced, high-performing, matrixed organisation
  • You take a data-led approach with an ability to not only tell a story but be able to relate commercial and people insights to inform decision making
  • Experience leveraging tools including AI to drive cultural transformation and deliver innovative and forward-thinking people experiences
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage, influence, and provide coaching at all levels
  • Demonstrated resilience and expertise in managing change.
