Our Financial Management Group strategy aims to strengthen foundations and enable growth through a scalable, responsive, financial management function, leveraging modern technology. Our HR team helps build organisational and people capability, whilst shaping effective people strategies to enable the business to deliver on their objectives.

This role is offered on a 12-month contract.

As Senior HR Business Partner to the Financial Management Group encompassing the Macquarie’s financial, tax and treasury divisions, you will act as a trusted advisor to senior global leaders, shaping people strategies that support business transformation. You will lead the delivery of core cyclical HR activities, including performance, reward, talent management and succession planning, ensuring alignment to evolving business priorities.

Working with business leaders, you will drive strategic workforce planning and organisational design, advising on workforce shape and capability needs. Your approach will be informed by business insight, a forward looking view of talent demand, and a strong commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.

Leveraging data and insights, you will enable data driven people, workforce and talent decisions. You will lead the implementation of HR initiatives, managing change effectively and ensuring scalable, consistent outcomes globally where possible.Partnering closely with the broader HR ecosystem, you will enhance HR service delivery by streamlining processes, embedding consistent global practices, and driving continuous improvement across regions.

What you offer

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field, along with proven work experience as a Senior HR Business Partner
  • Strong working knowledge of Australian employment legislation and a solid understanding of end-to-end HR functions and best practices
  • Demonstrable expertise in organisational design practices and strategic workforce planning
  • A proven people leader with consulting, relationship building and influence capability
  • Ability to analyse and communicate data driven insights.
