What role will you play?

You will help build the next generation of cloud platforms by applying your engineering skills to solve complex challenges in scalability, security, and performance. As a Junior Platform Security Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the development, deployment, and optimisation of our cloud platforms. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and deliver a robust platform that empowers developers across Macquarie. You will up to date with current and emerging Kubernetes and cloud computing technologies to evaluate their applicability to our platform while ensuring the platform adheres to best practices in security, scalability, and maintainability.

What you offer

  • Proficiency in Python and/or Golang
  • Practical experience with AWS, Containers, and GitOps tooling
  • Experience with TDD and CI/CD practices, enhancing code quality and deployment efficiency
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Familiarity with IAM, Secrets Management, and Vulnerability Management is valuable.
