We have an opportunity to join our Strategy, Practices & Innovation team within the Internal Audit Division. This team is central to supporting Internal Audit activities through delivering strategic initiatives, maintaining professional practices, and enabling the effective use of data analytics and emerging technologies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of audit delivery.

What role will you play?

This role supports the maintenance, enhancement and evolution of Internal Audit frameworks in line with strategic initiatives, the Global Internal Audit Standards and industry best practice, ensuring methodologies remain current, practical and fit for purpose as audit expectations, standards and the risk environment evolve.
A core part of the role is acting as a trusted advisor to audit teams, providing guidance on methodology interpretation and supporting the resolution of methodology related questions or grey areas encountered during the annual audit planning and audit delivery processes, to promote consistent and sound application of Internal Audit practices.
The role also supports the training and enablement of Internal Audit staff in relation to methodology updates and changes, including contributing to methodology related training materials and supporting adoption through clear communication and guidance.

What you offer

    • Strong communication skills, ideally with experience delivering training and advice on methodologies
    • Experience in financial services is advantageous
    • Experience with audit framework development and uplift is advantageous
    • Demonstrated experience in Internal Audit with an understanding of audit frameworks, guidelines, procedures and methodologies.

    The Internal Audit Division provides independent and objective risk-based assurance on the effectiveness of Macquarie’s risk management framework. Our global team conducts risk-based reviews focused on the effective operation of controls and governance processes, identifying insights through innovation and critical thinking.
