The Credit Risk team within Banking and Financial Services is responsible for setting and maintaining policies and providing credit risk analytics for its retail products. We are part of the Personal Banking division, working closely with risk, compliance, operations, and product teams to deliver responsible and adaptable collections and financial assistance frameworks that support strong customer outcomes.

As the Senior Manager, Credit Reporting, you will be tasked with evolving Macquarie's Comprehensive Credit Reporting capabilities. You will operate at a highly strategic level to help define the target state for our credit reporting function, driving systemic improvements, establishing rigorous governance, and championing fair customer outcomes. In this role, you will lead the strategic transformation of our Comprehensive Credit Reporting function by enhancing policy frameworks, technical governance, and operational capability, while providing oversight of data quality and rejected data management to ensure reporting accuracy and mitigate downstream impacts. You will cultivate strong relationships with Credit Reporting Bodies and represent Macquarie at key industry forums to drive strategic industry engagement and influence best practice outcomes. As the Delegated Lending Authority for credit reporting corrections, you will oversee remediation decisions and complex customer escalations to ensure fair and consistent customer outcomes. Additionally, you will lead and develop a high-performing team, empowering them to manage day-to-day operational activities while driving strategic initiatives, continuous improvement, and the ongoing maturity of our function.

What you offer

  • 5+ years' leadership experience in a financial services, credit risk, or regulatory reporting role, with a deep expertise in Comprehensive Credit Reporting .
  • Domain expertise in the Australian credit reporting landscape, including AFCA best practices, ARCA guidelines, the Privacy Act, and the Principles of Reciprocity and Data Exchange (PRDE).
  • A strategic mindset with the ability to elevate operational problems into enterprise-wide governance, data assurance, and remediation strategies.
  • Exceptional stakeholder leadership capabilities, with the proven ability to influence cross-functional leads across Technology, Legal, and Operations to execute systemic improvements.
  • Experience leading and mentoring teams, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and customer-centricity.
  • A strong balance of working autonomously to drive transformational change while collaborating effectively within a broader risk and compliance ecosystem.
