About the Role
We are looking for a data-driven and creative Lifecycle Marketing Associate to join our team on a contract basis. You will be the primary engine behind our lifecycle program, managing a complex ecosystem of 30+ automated journeys and recurring blast communications.
This role is unique in its breadth: you will support two of our products on an 80/20 split, focusing primarily on Roamly and Wheelbase. The ideal candidate has prior experience in Insurtech or Fintech, and is a technical lifecycle marketer who can move seamlessly between high-level journey mapping, technical campaign production, and persuasive copywriting.
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables
- Platform Administration: Act as an admin for Customer.io (Email & Push) and Attentive (SMS), ensuring deliverability and platform health.
- Journey Management: Own the logic, content, and performance of 30+ automated lifecycle journeys. You will be responsible for developing net-new content and optimizing existing logic to drive retention and conversion.
- Strategic Mapping: Document and maintain a comprehensive Customer Journey Map. You will chart every touchpoint, from sales and service to portal notifications, ensuring a cohesive experience during hand-offs between Roamly and Wheelbase.
- Product & Engineering Collaboration: Partner with the product team to audit existing events and define requirements for net-new event creation to trigger sophisticated automations.
- Campaign Execution: Manage a holistic calendar of blast communications (Email/SMS). You will handle everything from audience segmentation to content development.
- Testing & Optimization: Maintain an A/B testing roadmap across all channels to constantly improve open rates, CTRs, and conversion metrics.
- Copywriting: Draft compelling copy for all emails, SMS, and push notifications with the ability to switch between multiple brand voices, targeting unique customer personas.
- Compliance & Support: Serve as the point person for legal/compliance requests and handle ad-hoc service requests from agents (e.g., manual unsubscribes, journey hotfixes, and timestamp audits).
- Cross-Brand Synergy: Collaborate closely with the Outdoorsy lifecycle team to develop Roamly upsell content specifically for the Marketplace host audience.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Primary:
- Automated email journeys refreshed with new creative and copy.
- New automated email journeys developed.
- Monthly blast campaigns planned and deployed.
- Creation of journey mapping documents.
- AB tests executed quarterly.
Secondary:
- Development of engagement and conversion benchmarks.
- Engagement metrics improved (open rate, click rate, conversion rate).
Who You Are (Candidate Profile)
- Experience: 2–4 years of experience in lifecycle marketing, CRM, or marketing automation.
- Industry Background: Prior experience in Insurtech or Fintech is highly preferred, with an understanding of the regulatory nuances of insurance communications.
- AI Proficiency: Intermediate level aptitude with AI tooling including Gemini, prior experience working for companies or clients utilizing AI (e.g. Jasper).
- Tech Stack: Expert-level knowledge of Customer.io and Attentive (or similar sophisticated ESP/SMS tools like Braze or Klaviyo).
- Analytical Mindset: Proven track record of running A/B tests and using data to inform lifecycle logic.
- Technical Literacy: Ability to speak "product" and "engineering". You should be comfortable discussing event triggers, APIs, and data schemas.
- Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a "contract-to-hire" mindset, showing the initiative required for a full-time role.

- Compensation: $75.00 – $80.00 per hour
