About the Role
The Senior Revenue Manager will lead a team of seven, including the Revenue Manager, three Analysts in Mexico City, and three direct reports in Brazil and Argentina. This senior leader will oversee revenue recognition globally across all Salesforce products, clouds, professional services, and acquired companies, while building trust and credibility with international leadership including teams in Brazil. The role requires a seasoned professional with strong executive presence, the ability to interact with senior leaders, and a passion for developing high-performing teams. The position is based in Mexico City.
The Senior Manager, Revenue Recognition, will partner with Sales, Legal, Sales Operations, and Pricing teams, play a trusted advisor role for customer contract negotiations, and perform contract review for revenue recognition compliance. The ideal candidate must enjoy working in a fast paced and constantly changing environment across many different functions within the business and the finance organization. A successful applicant will have a strong working understanding of ASC 606 with experience in application of the standard to a SaaS business model in the tech industry. Further, the candidate must excel in managing and understanding a wide range of issues and business models that could be driven by acquisitions, revenue recognition requirements, and strategic shifts in go-to-market strategies.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of 7 across Mexico, Brazil, and Argentina
- Own revenue recognition strategy and execution across all Salesforce products, clouds, services, and acquired entities (including Informatica), alliances, and resellers
- Serve as a trusted advisor for customer contract negotiations and perform contract review for revenue recognition compliance
- Serve as a senior escalation point for complex contract reviews and revenue recognition matters under ASC 606
- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior leaders globally (including Finance, Legal, and Deal Desk leadership)
- Align the Mexico SSC team with the India SSC for 24-hour global business coverage
- Participate in SOX compliance and interact with external auditors
- Drive continuous improvement in revenue recognition processes and controls
Qualifications
- Deep expertise in ASC 606 in a SaaS/tech environment
- Proven experience leading multi-country or global accounting teams
- Fluent Spanish and English are required; Portuguese is strongly preferred given leadership collaboration needs with Brazil
- Big Four public accounting background strongly preferred
- Executive presence and ability to influence and communicate with senior leadership
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment
- Experience with acquisitions, complex business models, and strategic go-to-market shifts
