We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Resident Engineer (Professional Services Consultant) to support one of our strategic customers in Mumbai.
In this role, you will act as a trusted technical advisor, ensuring seamless operation, optimization, and continuous improvement of the customer’s security infrastructure powered by Check Point solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a dedicated onsite consultant for a key customer
- Deliver day-to-day operational support for the customer’s Check Point security environment
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and collaborate with TAC for timely resolution
- Work closely with customer IT and security teams to ensure smooth operations
Security Optimization & Management
- Optimize and fine-tune firewall policies and rulebases
- Improve system performance through proactive monitoring and tuning
- Conduct configuration audits and deliver technical trainings
Customer Engagement & Advisory
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships as a trusted advisor
- Provide strategic guidance to maximize ROI on Check Point solutions
- Support business reviews, service reports, and executive updates
Collaboration & Communication
- Partner with internal teams to deliver a seamless customer experience
- Provide regular status reports and proactive updates to stakeholders (customer, sales, and management)
Qualifications
Desired Skills & Experience
- 5–10 years of experience in network security or related domains
- Strong hands-on experience in:
- Firewall implementation and troubleshooting
- Enterprise network security environments
- Expertise in Check Point technologies, including:
- Quantum Security Gateways
- Maestro Hyperscale Solutions
- Management Server & MDS
- Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix operating systems
- Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, routing, VPNs)
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex, multi-layered issues
