About Port

At Port.io, we are building an open and flexible Agentic SDLC Platform for modern engineering organizations. Following our recent $100 million Series C funding round, we are entering a phase of rapid hyper-growth with strong enterprise momentum.

We act as the central nervous system for engineering, enabling platform teams to unify their stack and expose it as a governed layer through golden paths for developers and AI agents. By combining rich engineering context, workflows, and actions, we help organizations transition from manual processes to autonomous, AI-assisted engineering workflows while maintaining control and accountability.

As a product-led company, we believe in building world-class platforms that fundamentally shape how modern engineering organizations operate.

About the position

Port is scaling fast, and execution is becoming one of our biggest strategic advantages. We're looking for a Manager, Strategic Initiatives reporting to the VP of Strategic Initiatives, ensuring that our most important priorities are translated into clear plans and executed with speed, alignment, and accountability.

This role is a mix of strategy, business operations, and cross-functional execution. It is designed for someone who thrives in high-growth environments and knows how to drive outcomes through people, structure, and decision-making.

The ideal candidate brings demonstrated experience building and running operating cadences at fast-growing SaaS companies — not just contributing to them. This role requires commercial instincts, executive communication skills, and the builder mentality to create structure where none exists.

What Success Looks Like

  • Predictable and scalable execution: cross-functional initiatives run with measurable accountability, clear owners, and visible milestones
  • Organizational clarity and leverage: teams gain focus — less time in alignment meetings, more progress on the work that matters
  • Speed without friction: Port's top priorities execute faster, with blockers identified and removed before they compound
  • Structured agility: the organization achieves greater structure without sacrificing pace — lightweight processes that actually scale
  • Decisive leadership alignment: decisions made by the leadership team consistently translate into action with clear owners and deadlines

As part of your day-to-day, you will

  • Own and drive company-wide strategic initiatives from definition through execution — setting structure, owners, and checkpoints across functions
  • Translate strategy into clear priorities, plans, and measurable outcomes
  • Build and run Port's operating cadence: OKRs, executive reviews, planning cycles, and KPI frameworks
  • Identify bottlenecks early, surface them to the right stakeholders, and drive resolution
  • Build Port's cross-functional execution network — partnering with one embedded representative per function to create a guild of initiative owners who drive alignment and accountability from within their teams
  • Improve organizational effectiveness by designing lightweight, scalable processes that reduce friction rather than add it

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in Business Operations, Strategy & Operations, Chief of Staff, Management Consulting, or a senior execution-focused leadership role within B2B tech
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives from definition through delivery in a high-growth SaaS environment — not just contributing to them
  • Proven ability to build and run company-wide operating cadences: OKRs, exec reviews, planning cycles, and KPI accountability frameworks
  • Track record of influencing and aligning senior leadership teams without direct authority — translating decisions into action across Product, R&D, GTM, Finance, and People
  • Strong commercial instincts with the ability to connect execution priorities to business outcomes and revenue
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills — able to run leadership forums
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity at a fast-moving startup — builds structure without waiting for it and ships things that stick
