About the Role:
We are seeking a results-driven Sales Manager with deep expertise in high-risk payments to drive revenue growth, acquire strategic merchant accounts, and build long-term
partnerships in challenging verticals. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in high-risk merchant acquiring, PSP (Payment Service Provider) environments, cross-border transactions, and compliance-sensitive industries. You will play a critical role in expanding our footprint among high-risk sectors such as gaming, crypto, forex, adult, nutraceuticals, and other complex verticals, while ensuring compliance and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
• Business Development & Sales-
- Identify, engage, and close new merchant opportunities in high-risk sectors.
- Build and manage a robust sales pipeline through proactive prospecting, networking, and industry events.
- Negotiate commercial agreements and pricing structures to optimize profitability and risk exposure.
• Client Relationship Management-
- Serve as the primary point of contact for key merchants, and referral partners.
- Collaborate with account management and underwriting teams to onboard and maintain merchants efficiently.
- Maintain strong client satisfaction and retention rates through ongoing relationship management.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration-
- Work closely with compliance, risk, and underwriting teams to align on acceptable merchant profiles.
- Coordinate with operations and product teams to tailor payment solutions that meet unique client needs.
• Sales Reporting & Forecasting-
- Track and report KPIs, pipeline health, and revenue forecasts to management.
- Contribute to strategic planning and market expansion initiatives.
Requirements
• 5+ years of sales experience in payments, fintech, or merchant acquiring, preferably in high-risk or cross-border environments.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Deep understanding of high-risk merchant categories, chargeback management, risk mitigation, and compliance frameworks.
• Familiarity with payment gateways, processing platforms, stablecoin and alternative payment methods.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience using CRM tools and sales analytics platforms. Preferred Attributes
• Network of contacts within high-risk verticals and industry associations.
• Experience with crypto, gaming, adult, forex, or nutraceutical merchants.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with strong commercial acumen.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment.
