Your Role: CNC Machinist

Department: Machining

Reports To: Production Supervisor

You will be responsible for producing precision-machined parts using CNC mills and lathes, including setup, programming, and operation, while maintaining safety, quality, and productivity standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and program CNC lathes and mills
  • Write and edit CNC programs using G & M code on Fanuc controls
  • Program using CAM software such as Inventor CAM or Fusion 360 (preferred)
  • Operate and troubleshoot CNC equipment (including Haas, Fadal, and Mori Seiki or similar machines)
  • Machine parts to tight tolerances, with an emphasis on stainless steel materials
  • Calculate and adjust speeds and feeds for optimal machining performance
  • Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards
  • Collaborate with team members to improve processes and efficiency
  • Maintain strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality output
  • Apply best practices in precision machining

What You Bring

  • 5–7 years of CNC machining experience in a job shop environment
  • Strong proficiency with CNC mills and lathes
  • Solid knowledge of G & M code programming (Fanuc or similar controls)
  • Experience with CAM software such as Inventor CAM or Fusion 360 preferred
  • Experience operating a variety of CNC machines
  • Familiarity with machining stainless steels, including speeds and feeds calculations
  • Manual machining experience is a plus, but not required

Physical Requirements & Safety

  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs
  • Required use of safety glasses and steel-toe footwear on the production floor
  • Ability to stand for extended periods (60–75% of the shift)
