Aegis Worldwide is partnered with a growing automation/manufacturing company in the Metro Detroit area that is looking to add a Senior Mechanical Designer to their team.

This is a great opportunity for someone with strong equipment/automation design experience who enjoys working on complex engineering projects in automotive and industrial manufacturing environments.

🔧 What You’ll Be Doing:

• Lead and manage mechanical design engineering projects

• Create and review mechanical designs using Catia & SolidWorks

• Design automation and manufacturing equipment from concept through completion

• Support robotics and automation integration projects

• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure project success

• Review specifications, layouts, dimensions, and manufacturing feasibility

✅ What We’re Looking For:

• 5+ years of mechanical design experience

• Strong background designing industrial equipment or automation systems

• Proficiency with Catia CAD and/or SolidWorks

• Experience with automotive manufacturing equipment REQUIRED

• Automation and robotics integration experience strongly preferred

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
