Responsibilities
- Manage daily plant operations to meet production schedules and customer delivery requirements.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and company policies.
- Lead and develop production, maintenance, quality, engineering, and supervisory personnel.
- Monitor and improve key performance indicators (KPIs), including safety, quality, productivity, scrap, downtime, and on-time delivery.
- Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing and problem-solving methodologies.
- Maintain compliance with automotive quality standards and customer requirements.
- Oversee staffing, training, employee performance, and workforce development.
- Manage plant budgets and control operating costs while maximizing efficiency.
- Coordinate preventive maintenance activities to minimize equipment downtime.
- Collaborate with customers, suppliers, and corporate leadership to support business objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 7–10 years of manufacturing experience, with at least 3 years in a plant or operations management role.
- Experience in automotive manufacturing is strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, and quality systems.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and manufacturing ERP systems.
Required Skills
- Experience with IATF 16949 quality standards.
- Knowledge of ISO 14001 and OSHA regulations.
- Six Sigma certification is a plus.
- Experience managing union and/or non-union workforces.
Preferred Skills
- Ability to walk the manufacturing floor for extended periods.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
- Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, machinery, and varying temperatures.

The Plant Manager reports directly to the Director of Operations or Vice President of Manufacturing and is responsible for ensuring the facility operates safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company objectives while meeting customer expectations.
