Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and manage facility and infrastructure projects from concept through completion, including new construction, renovations, site development, and equipment upgrades.
- Develop project specifications, obtain vendor quotations, prepare project proposals, and manage budgets, schedules, and approvals.
- Oversee the operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of facility utilities and building systems.
- Lead energy management and sustainability initiatives, including emissions reduction and efficiency improvement projects.
- Manage building automation systems, including HVAC, lighting, and other facility controls.
- Direct capital improvement projects while ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and budget requirements.
- Coordinate and oversee the work of contractors, vendors, and service providers.
- Support facility operations by managing building infrastructure, loading docks, doors, plant access areas, and related assets.
- Develop long-term facility maintenance and capital improvement plans.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and meet organizational objectives.
- Maintain compliance with applicable safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Construction Management, Facilities Management, or a related technical field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Five or more years of experience in facilities engineering, maintenance, construction management, manufacturing support, or a related field preferred.
- Experience managing capital projects, facility improvements, or infrastructure upgrades.
- Knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, compressed air, water, gas, and building automation systems.
- Familiarity with energy management, sustainability, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Experience coordinating contractors, vendors, and external service providers.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to prepare technical reports, project documentation, and cost justifications.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple departments.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a strong commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence.
- Ability to work in accordance with all workplace safety policies and procedures.
