Overview

We are seeking an experienced ESH (Quality, Environmental, Safety & Health) Manager to lead all Environmental, Health, Safety, and Quality initiatives at a highly automated industrial facility. This individual will be responsible for developing and maintaining a strong safety culture, ensuring regulatory compliance, managing quality systems, and driving continuous improvement across the operation.

This is a hands-on leadership role that partners closely with operations, maintenance, and site leadership to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations while promoting employee engagement and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety (QESH) programs and initiatives for the facility.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain company safety policies, procedures, and training programs.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture through employee engagement, communication, and coaching.
  • Manage accident, incident, and near-miss investigations while identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Conduct facility safety, environmental, and compliance audits to ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, food safety, environmental, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain required site certifications and support internal and external audits.
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to safety, environmental, and quality performance.
  • Perform risk assessments and implement corrective and preventive actions to reduce workplace hazards.
  • Partner with operations and engineering teams on equipment installations and facility improvements to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Maintain required documentation and prepare reports for leadership and regulatory agencies.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies, insurance representatives, and external auditors.
  • Manage employee PPE programs and ensure proper safety equipment is available and utilized.
  • Collaborate with leadership to drive continuous improvement initiatives across the facility.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, Occupational Health, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years of Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS/QESH) experience within a manufacturing, distribution, warehouse, or industrial environment.
  • Previous experience working in a light industrial, manufacturing, or distribution facility preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, ANSI, NFPA, and other applicable environmental and safety regulations.
  • Experience conducting safety audits, risk assessments, incident investigations, and compliance reporting.
  • Experience developing and delivering employee safety training programs.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • ASP or CSP certification is preferred.
