This is a maternity leave cover position, with an expected duration of one year.

What You’ll Do

Content Creation & Editorial Leadership

  • Write compelling content across formats: blogs, eBooks, long-form thought leadership, social posts, newsletters, and video scripts.
  • Translate technical input (webinars, SME interviews, panel discussions) into engaging narratives.
  • Collaborate with SME’s to respond in a timely manner to market and regulatory events.
  • Translate business objectives, strategic focus, and product messaging into external-facing thought leadership / value-added content that connects with prospects and supports sales enablement.
  • Maintain our editorial calendar and work closely with stakeholders to ensure alignment across all teams.

Content Repurposing & Distribution

  • Repurpose high-impact content into modular assets: infographics, landing pages, and social series and carousels.
  • Draft and distribute content across Shield’s owned channels, working with Demand Gen and Marketing Ops to ensure performance is tracked.

Social Media & Voice Development

  • Craft creative social copy that brings Shield’s voice to life on LinkedIn and other emerging channels.
  • Support employee advocacy by preparing content templates and story-driven snippets to amplify Shield’s messages and content.
  • Manage our social calendar across all relevant audience touchpoints and work with stakeholders where needed to ensure alignment.

PR & Awards Writing

  • Manage external PR agency across press releases and awards submissions.
  • Build media-friendly messaging and human-centered headlines for recognition moments.

Freelancer Management

  • Manage freelance writers and editors to ensure delivery speed, quality, and tone consistency.
  • Provide briefs, creative direction, and feedback for outsourced projects as needed.

Requirements

Experience and Skills:

  • A bold, creative writer with 6-8 years of experience in content marketing or editorial roles from B2B SaaS companies.
  • Strong portfolio across formats (blog, long-form, social, ghostwriting) and in translating complex details into clear, compelling content.
  • Availability for a maternity leave cover position, with an expected duration of one year.
  • You can put yourself in the audience’s shoes and understand what will matter to them – and bring that to life in your writing.
  • You can ghostwrite for execs or SMEs and make it feel real — not robotic.
  • You love bringing structure to chaos and thrive in fast-paced, high-ownership environments.
  • Native English a must.
  • Experience with RegTech, FinTech a plus.
  • Bonus: you're social-media fluent, understand visual storytelling, and know what works on LinkedIn.
