Join our high performing Billing & Credit team within Group Finance, where we deliver secure onboarding and accurate billing experiences for Optus customers. As a Senior Portfolio Analyst, you’ll help shape advanced analytics and reporting that support collections, recoveries and overall customer experience.
In this role, you’ll develop insights and dashboards that influence key business decisions, improve operational efficiencies. You’ll connect data across the credit lifecycle to uncover trends, support strategic initiatives, and drive continuous improvement, with strong exposure to senior leaders.
What you’ll be doing
- Design dashboards, reports, and scorecards that support Collections & Recoveries performance management across key metrics (business, financial, operational, customer), adherence to internal policies and regulatory requirements, and drive continuous improvement.
- Generate accurate, meaningful insights by building forecasting models and connecting data across the customer lifecycle to highlight risks, opportunities, and clear business implications.
- Partner with stakeholders to understand needs, lead performance discussions, manage deliverables, and translate complex analysis into clear, actionable business insights.
- Align data solutions with enterprise reporting standards by partnering with data teams and sharing best practices through consulting and knowledge transfer.
- Ensure data accuracy and governance by maintaining a clean reporting catalogue, data library, standard operating processes, enforcing consistent definitions and methods, and building strong data models.
What makes you perfect for the role?
- Degree‑qualified with 5+ years’ experience in data analytics, integration, and visualisation.
- Strong technical skills across SQL, data modelling, Excel/VBA, and BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Cognos, Alteryx).
- Solid understanding of collections and recoveries processes, reporting, and customer journeys.
- High proficiency in Excel (financial analysis and modelling), PowerPoint, and complex database work.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex insights for senior stakeholders.
