We are seeking an experienced Change & Release Manager to lead end-to-end ‑to governance of complex enterprise changes and releases across critical customer systems and cloud environments. You will also balance innovation with operational stability, ensuring that all changes are assessed, approved, tested, and deployed with minimal service impact. Working within a mature ITIL framework, you’ll partner closely with technical teams, business stakeholders, and vendors to drive disciplined change practices and continuous process improvement. This is a pivotal position for a proactive leader who brings strong analytical thinking, stakeholder engagement, and a passion for operational excellence.
Your day to day will consist of
- Own and manage the end-to-end‑to ‑end ITIL aligned‑aligned change and release processes, ensuring all changes are properly logged, assessed, approved, implemented, documented, and reviewed.
- Review, assess, and coordinate change requests (RFCs) with technical teams and stakeholders, conducting impact/risk assessments and preparing items for CAB evaluation and approval.
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate releases across development, QA, and operations teams, overseeing deployments, documentation, rollback planning, and communication to minimise service disruption.
- Lead CAB meetings and manage risk controls, ensuring stakeholders understand impacts, backout plans are in place, and high-risk changes or releases are governed effectively.
- Drive continuous improvement through KPI monitoring, PIRs, process refinement, and alignment with other ITIL processes such as Incident, Problem, and Configuration Management.
- Maintain governance, compliance, and tooling, including policy enforcement, audit support, accurate CMDB updates, and optimisation of ITSM and CI/CD automation tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Jenkins, Ansible).

- Australian Citizenship with AGSVA Baseline clearance (current or eligible), plus relevant education and ICT industry experience.
- 3+ years’ experience in change and release management within ITIL aligned environments, including CAB coordination, release scheduling, and ‑aligned environments, including CAB coordination, release scheduling, and enterprise‑scale change governance.
- Strong technical capability across DevOps/Agile practices, CI/CD pipelines, automated deployment tools (e.g., Jenkins, Bamboo, Ansible), cloud releases (AWS/Azure/GCP), and ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow or Jira.
- Deep understanding of ITIL processes—particularly change, release, configuration, and asset/CMDB management—with ability to maintain process documentation and drive process consistency.
- Advanced coordination, analytical, and risk assessment skills, including impact analysis, problem solving, decision-making under pressure, and managing multiple concurrent releases.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication, with a collaborative, customer focused‑focused approach and the ability to work across technical teams, vendors, and business units.
