Make an Impact by:

BAU Responsibilities:

  • Define orchestration architecture for service orders across BSS/OSS.
  • Design decomposition, validation, fallout prevention, and lifecycle management flows.
  • Create detailed HLD/LLD diagrams and integration contracts (APIs, event models).
  • Ensure designs align with TM Forum Open APIs and SID models.
  • Work with product owners to refine business requirements into technical designs.
  • Perform impact analysis for new features or OSS/BSS migrations.

Project Involvement:

  • Leading projects, initiatives within the IT for Service Order Management - Telco domain to agreed timelines and budget.
  • Work with all levels of Business units in understanding business problems and initiatives.
  • Perform Squad Lead role in the development lifecycle of large and complex projects from the initial scoping, devising, and documenting high level and detailed technical solutions, reviewing all stages of testing, and managing the deployment of the solution into production.
  • Work closely with different technical groups and SMEs to fulfil e2e solution objective.
  • Engage vendors (local and offshore), negotiating solution costs and ensuring quality control over their deliverables.
  • Confident presentation skills to Business and non-IT resources.
  • Ensure solutions conform to the strategic domain roadmap and adhere to the standards set by the Solution Review Board and Enterprise architects.
  • Work independently but with guidance from a System Domain Architect or Associate Director.
  • Act as an application SME within an e2e Project.
  • Work closely with test teams to support in UAT, PET and other testing env.

Production Involvement:

  • Leading the Incident and Problem Management process for SOM, from detection through resolution and post-incident reviews.
  • Driving root cause analysis (RCA) and coordinating with teams to implement permanent solutions.
  • Developing and executing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to handle recurring incidents, with continuous follow-up to ensure permanent resolutions.
  • Overseeing MCO Production Support, effectively managing and executing business requirements for mass operations and other MCO-involved functions.
  • Proactively monitoring vulnerable areas, such as Roaming, Prepaid, and Postpaid services, identifying potential issues, and determining whether incidents or enhancements are needed for a permanent resolution, while ensuring effective workarounds are in place.
  • Conduct rigorous checks on Production changes outside of major/minor releases to confirm system stability before business hours.
  • Leading data reconciliation efforts in Production to identify and resolve dirty data that could impact downstream systems.
  • Managing vendor relationships to maintain Production stability, ensuring vigilance in operations, and keeping incidents under control.
  • Self-motivated with a positive “can-do” attitude, creative with excellent presentation, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills including strong persuasive techniques.
  • Working in fast paced environment with steep learning curves.
  • Working and blending into squads to learn the pain points and work for its closure.
  • Recruiting and expanding the support team wherever necessary.
  • Create backup support for tasks within the team to ensure no or minimum impact.

Skills for Success:

  • Min 10 years in the ICT industry with proven delivery experience in a sizable contract or organization.
  • Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Telecommunications, or equivalent field
  • Practical experience in 1 or more BSS and OSS areas: Ordering, Billing, SOM, CRM, MEC.
  • Knowledge in OSS areas: Service Order Management, Provisioning, Resource Management.
  • Experience in 6+ years in project delivery.
  • Experience in 6+ years in the Fulfilment domain.
  • 2+ years’ experience in a programming language including experience in an object-oriented language and DB (i.e. Java, Groovy, PL/SQL) preferred.
