What you’ll do
As a SMB Account Executive you will work with prospective and new-to-Stripe users to help grow their business. You'll manage the full sales cycle through to onboarding and growing new users.

Responsibilities
- Identify high-potential prospective users from your territory and develop strategies with the business development team to gather lead
- Own the full sales cycle from lead to close for startups and small/medium businesses
- Balance reactive client requests along with proactive engagements to maximise impact and client value.
- Solve complex client needs and work across product, marketing, risk and operations teams to improve our product.
- Lead and contribute to team projects to develop and refine our sales process
- Engage with Product, Marketing and User Operations teams to help amplify our growth trajectory and inform our APAC product roadmap

Minimum requirements
- 3 years of experience in solution sales field
- Verbal and written communication skills in both English and Japanese
- Ability to understand complex requirements and craft custom solutions
- Strong analytical and quantitative capabilities including comfort with basic financial modeling
- Superior verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to operate in a highly ambiguous and fast-paced environment
- Strong interest in technology
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to understand the Stripe API
- Experience with Excel and SQL, or a willingness to learn.
The annual salary range for this role in the primary location is ¥13,869,600 - ¥20,804,400. This range may change if you are hired in another location. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings (“OTE”) range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and specific location. Applicants interested in this role and who are not located in the primary location may request the annual salary range for their location during the interview process.
