About Astelia
Astelia helps security teams dramatically reduce the volume of incidents generated by vulnerability management tools. We do this by building a deep, contextual understanding of our customers’ networks – turning noise into signal and enabling security teams to focus on what truly matters. We’re a small, fast-moving startup with great people who care about impact, craftsmanship, and each other.
About the Role
We are looking for a business-oriented, sharp, and proactive Legal Counsel to join us and build our legal function from the ground up. In this role, you will serve as a key strategic partner to our GTM, G&A, and leadership teams, providing practical legal advice across a broad range of commercial, operational, and strategic matters.
You aren’t just here to identify risks – you’re here to enable growth. You will play a critical role in accelerating our GTM velocity by navigating complex enterprise sales and legal processes, helping us close high-value deals with global enterprises. If you care about craftsmanship in your work, thrive in a fast-paced, high-ambiguity environment, and want to make a significant impact as part of an early-stage team, we’d love to meet you.
This is a full-time, onsite position based in our Tel Aviv office.
What You’ll Do
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of complex commercial agreements, including enterprise SaaS agreements, POV agreements, partnership agreements, NDAs, and vendor contracts.
- Partner closely with our sales and leadership teams to streamline negotiations, resolve legal issues with customer procurement and legal teams, and help close strategic deals efficiently.
- Lead privacy and compliance initiatives, including advising on global data protection frameworks (e.g., GDPR) and negotiating Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) required by enterprise customers.
- Build and scale Astelia’s legal function by developing contract templates, negotiation playbooks, and internal processes to support the company’s growth.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to identify legal risks and provide pragmatic solutions.
Requirements:
- 4-6 years of combined experience from a top-tier law firm (Commercial/Technology practice) and as in-house counsel at a fast-growing B2B Tech company.
- LL.B. degree and an active license to practice law in Israel.
- Proven experience negotiating complex technology and SaaS agreements with large global enterprise customers.
- Strong understanding of global privacy regulations (including GDPR) and experience negotiating DPAs and security exhibits.
- Native-level English (written and spoken) with exceptional legal drafting and negotiation skills.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Business-oriented mindset with creative problem-solving skills.
- Proactive, takes initiative, and comfortable owning projects end-to-end.
Nice to Have
- Experience in the cybersecurity industry.
- Experience with cross-border legal matters including corporate, labor and employment law.
