What You'll Do
We are seeking a Staff Software Engineer to lead the design and development of next-generation AI-enabled product experiences. In this role, you will drive technical architecture across the stack, build scalable systems, and establish modern development practices leveraging AI-assisted engineering workflows.
Design and Implement Cloud services that manage the infrastructure and control plane on the public cloud platforms like AWS, Azure & Google Cloud
Implement automations to provision, configure, manage and monitor Teradata Cloud services, sites and offerings.
Develop threat models to ensure the Cloud platform services are secure and meets our compliance standards.
Who You Will Work With
You will join a team of engineers to build cloud services that bring Teradata’s analytics capabilities to the public cloud platforms.
This position is part of the Cloud Platform Core Services Engineering Team focused on developing multi cloud infrastructure services.
You will be reporting to Sr Engineering manager.
Minimum Requirements
Graduate or bachelor’s degree in computer science
At least 5+ years of hands-on software development experience.
At least 3 years of experience with designing, building, and operating distributed complex software systems on Google Cloud, AWS and Azure.
Experience with dev-ops software development methods
Strong computer science fundamentals in data structures, algorithm design, and complexity analysis
Demonstrated proficiency with at least one modern general-purpose programming languages like Go, Python
Drive adoption of AI-accelerated development practices, converting AI-generated prototypes into production-ready systems and improving engineering velocity.
Design and integrate AI-powered features and agent-based workflows leveraging LLM technologies.
End‑to‑end development of AI agents, from ideation and prototyping to production‑ready releases on unified agent platforms
Operationalization of AI agents for broad organizational use, including deployment pipelines, containerization patterns, monitoring, and lifecycle management.
Work with UX, product management and other platform engineering teams to help create and evaluate new product ideas and technical designs
Implement best practices that produce maintainable code, including usability patterns, code style conformity, integration, testing, and code review
Participate in detailed reviews of design, architecture, and code produced by other engineers within the team.
What You Will Bring
Experience in full stack development.
Experience with RESTful services, and familiarity with Teradata (or other TDMS) NoSQL/SQL database concepts
Experience with Docker container related technologies
Experience in Kubernetes management, services development
Experience with supporting mission critical, 24x7 systems.
Experience influencing software engineering best practices within your team.
Familiarity with dev-ops software development methods.
Demonstrable scripting experience with a variety of scripting languages for automating tasks, generating reports, and creating tools (e. g. Go, Python, Shell)
Proven experience with AWS, Azure & Google cloud infrastructure.
Created architecture for a service running in AWS, Azure and Google that serves businesses or the public at scale.
AWS, Azure & Google hands-on experience with network administration: VPCs, ACLs, subnets, peering, DNS knowledge, Firewalls etc.
AWS infrastructure as code experience with CloudFormation or Terraform
