Description of Position

This is a newly created Vice President role within the Operations team, responsible for the day-to-day management and reporting of employee co-investment interests across TPG funds. This position is a blend of specialized fund accounting and operational project management, playing a key role in the Firm’s ongoing financial transformation initiatives.

The role serves as a critical liaison between GP Services (GPS), Legal, Compensation, and Investor Relations. We are looking for a tech-forward accounting or finance professional who is comfortable working at the intersection of traditional private equity and modern financial technology to help build a scalable, automated co-investment function from the ground up.

Principal Responsibilities

Employee Co-Investment Management Program Execution

  • Lead the planning and execution of employee co-investment activity, including the closing process for both mandatory and discretionary employee commitments.
  • Oversee the timely closing of employee commitments through feeder vehicles; manage the setup of entities and partners within internal systems and the general ledger in partnership with Legal and GP Services.
  • Review new fund opportunities to ensure employee participation options align with firm policies and carry plan awards.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for senior internal stakeholders regarding commitment status, participation levels, and program mechanics.
  • Interface with external vendors and fund administrators to ensure seamless execution of employee onboarding and administration.
  • Build, test, and own a new suite of co-investment, promote, and commitment reports in collaboration with internal Engineering and GPS teams.

Reporting, Dashboards & Infrastructure Development

  • Support the design and lead the implementation of new processes and systems to scale the co-investment function and reduce manual touchpoints.
  • Develop and maintain validation dashboards to ensure reporting integrity between co-investment accounting teams and broader firm data (NAV, unfunded commitments, etc.).
  • Drive the production of quarterly co-investment reporting for employee partners, ensuring high-quality visibility into investment performance.
  • Support firm-wide operational initiatives by gathering technical requirements and executing User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for new systems and reporting tools.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 7+ of experience in public accounting, private equity, or Fintech (specifically within wealth-tech or automated financial operations). Experience working within a fast-paced Fintech environment—particularly with investment partnership or fund administration—is highly preferred.
  • Solid understanding of partnership accounting (capital accounts, allocations, fee/carry mechanics) and private equity structures.
  • High proficiency in Excel and experience with modern data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau). Exposure to SQL or Python is a significant plus.
  • The ability to speak the language of both accounting and technology to execute engineering-driven projects.
  • A fix-it type individual and self-starter motivated to modernize manual workflows and lead system implementations.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage consultants and meet multiple concurrent deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the executive presence required to interact with senior leadership and cross-functional partners.
