Description of Position
To support the growth and success of fundraising efforts in the Private Wealth channel, TPG seeks to recruit an Associate level team member. The successful candidate will support the TPG Private Wealth platform in establishing and maintaining relationships with investors in a particular region. Such efforts will include cultivating relationships with investors that are new to TPG and educating current and prospective investors on TPG portfolio company and fund level performance.
Principal Responsibilities
- Partner with regional sales leaders and regional internal alternatives investment specialists to contribute to the team’s regional business plan centered around a consultative, education-led, service-oriented approach to advisor engagement
- Uphold and enhance the reputation of TPG in the wealth management marketplace
- Maintain a high level of contact with intermediary clients and prospects acting as the subject matter expert across TPG’s diverse set of alternative investment offerings
- Cultivate relationships with financial advisors through high-quality interactions including proactive and reactive calls, emails and follow-ups as well as limited in-person territory meetings
- Demonstrated ability to understand and articulate TPG’s products
- Take a consultative approach in profiling financial advisors in order to understand their business, clients and investment challenges to better match TPG solutions to their needs
- Utilize the CRM system to log all client / prospect related activity on a daily basis
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional experience, preferably from an asset management internal sales desk or wealth management firm
- Series 7 & 63 license or ability to obtain within 3 months of joining
- Ability to build new relationships and establish trust quickly and effectively
- Highly motivated, proactive and a sincere team player. Results oriented, strong organizational and ability to multi-task
- Would contribute positively towards the development of TPG’s team, talent, and reputation in the private weal
- Exceptional presence and interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to articulate TPG’s strategy, investments and investment performance, as well as current and future market opportunities
