THE ROLE
We're hiring an Events Manager to build and scale Unit's event strategy from the ground up. This isn't a logistics-only role—you'll own the full strategic vision and execution of an events program designed to drive pipeline, deepen customer relationships, and establish Unit as a category leader in embedded finance.
You'll design intimate executive dinners that turn into multi-million dollar deals, craft our presence at tier-1 industry conferences, and create custom experiences that help vertical SaaS founders reimagine what's possible with their product roadmaps. Every event you create should ladder up to commercial outcomes—qualified pipeline, customer expansion, or strategic partnerships.
This is a foundational role with significant autonomy and impact. You'll be building the playbook, not following one. For the right candidate, this is a rare opportunity to shape how an industry-defining infrastructure company shows up in market.
This is a full-time role based in our New York office (Tribeca), with 5 days/week in person. Expect to travel during times it’s safe to do so, attending events across the country.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Build Unit's annual events strategy with clear ROI metrics tied to pipeline generation, deal velocity, and customer expansion goals—establishing the playbook for how we show up in market
Design and execute high-touch events—customer dinners, executive roundtables, private briefings - that accelerate deals and deepen relationships with target accounts
Identify and prioritize the highest-ROI industry conferences and tradeshows, then design Unit's presence - from booth strategy to speaking opportunities to satellite events—to maximize brand impact and lead generation
Partner directly with Sales and GTM leadership to understand target account priorities and create event experiences that move specific deals forward
Own end-to-end event execution including venue selection, vendor management, speaker coordination, run-of-show, and post-event follow-up to ensure flawless delivery
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
4–6 years of experience in B2B marketing, demand generation, or field marketing, ideally at a high-growth startup, fintech, or enterprise SaaS company
Commercial mindset: You understand how events drive revenue and structure programs accordingly.
Builder mentality: You thrive in ambiguity and want to create something from scratch rather than optimize an existing program
Strategic + scrappy: You can think big picture about annual strategy while rolling up your sleeves to pack swag boxes and troubleshoot AV setups
Exceptional organizational skills: You juggle multiple events, deadlines, and stakeholders without breaking a sweat
Strong storytelling and communication skills: You know how to craft compelling event narratives for customers and brief cross-functional stakeholders
Must be willing to travel across the East and West Coasts for conferences, for short trips of a few days, with occasional week-long travel.
