Job Description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- HVAC Project Design, Engineering & Execution
- Capital Planning & Budgeting: Support HVAC capital budget planning, including life-cycle analysis for critical equipment (Chillers, Cooling Towers, AHUs), and prepare technical justifications for upgrades or replacements.
- Technical Design & Feasibility: Conduct feasibility studies and lead design reviews—including cooling load calculations, psychrometric, and air distribution—to support production expansion and cleanroom requirements.
- End-to-End Project Management: Lead HVAC projects from concept to commissioning; prepare detailed Scopes of Work, conduct vendor technical evaluations, and ensure strict adherence to ISO 14644 standards, timelines, and quality requirements.
- Cleanroom Control, Compliance & Redundancy
- Environmental Parameter Management: Monitor and maintain stable controlled environments (Temperature, %RH, Particle count, and Delta P) to ensure production utilities remain qualified and compliant with industry standards.
- Downtime Mitigation: Manage and maintain N+1 redundancy configurations for critical utilities to eliminate the risk of production downtime due to environmental excursions.
- Energy Optimization & Sustainability
- Decarbonization Initiatives: Drive sustainability goals by implementing energy-saving programs (e.g., Chiller Plant Optimization) and managing the transition to Low-GWP (Global Warming Potential) refrigerants.
- Advanced Troubleshooting & CAPA
- Root Cause Analysis: Lead deep-dive technical troubleshooting for complex HVAC failures, generating comprehensive 8D reports and implementing effective Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
- Project Handover, O&M Support & Safety
- Operational Handover: Coordinate smooth project transitions to the Operations & Maintenance (O&M) team by updating As-built drawings via AutoCAD, conducting technical training, and providing spare parts lists and maintenance manuals.
- Contractor Safety Supervision: Supervise and monitor HVAC contractors during high-risk tasks, ensuring full compliance with safety protocols to achieve zero-accident execution without impacting ongoing production.
Qualifications
REQUIRED:
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering Or related.
- Professional Experience: At least 5 years in Facilities management or Engineering, with a strong focus on industrial HVAC system operations and projects.
- Industry Expertise: Proven experience in the Electronics industry or High-Tech manufacturing; specific knowledge of ISO 14644 and environmental control requirements.
PREFERRED:
- License for Professional Practice from Council of Engineers Thailand
SKILLS:
- Technical Skills
- HVAC & Cleanroom Systems: In-depth knowledge of Chiller Plant systems (Centrifugal/Screw), AHU/MAU operations, psychrometric analysis, Cleanroom airflow design, pressure balancing, and dehumidification/humidity control systems.
- Software & Engineering Tools: Proficiency in AutoCAD for designing, modifying, and reviewing mechanical/HVAC layouts.
- Engineering Drawings: Strong ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and Control Logic (BMS/BAS).
- Sustainability: Knowledge of energy-saving technologies, Low-GWP refrigerants, and sustainable industrial facility practices.
- Soft Skills & Methodologies
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with expertise in performing Root Cause Analysis (RCA) using 8D or similar methodologies.
- Project Management: Proven ability to manage CAPEX projects from the initial planning phase through to final execution.
- Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and supervise external contractors.
