We are seeking a highly skilled Revenue Accounting Manager to own and optimize the SaaS contract-to-cash process for a growing customer base, including leading healthcare systems. This hands-on role is critical in ensuring accurate revenue recognition, billing operations, and financial insights that support strategic decision-making.

The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in SaaS revenue accounting, thrives in a cross-functional environment, team leadership, and is comfortable working with evolving systems and processes.

Requirements

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

- Own and manage the end-to-end SaaS contract-to-cash process, including billing, bookings, revenue recognition, and CARR/ARR activity
  - Serve as the subject matter expert for all revenue accounting matters, including policy development, technical guidance, and cross-functional alignment
  - Review and interpret customer contracts and statements of work to ensure compliance with ASC 606
  - Process billing for new and renewing SaaS customer contracts with accuracy and timeliness
  - Perform customer account reconciliations to ensure subscription accuracy and identify revenue opportunities. Ensure accuracy of CARR & ARR
  - Analyze revenue fluctuations and trends, providing insights to minimize leakage and improve performance
  - Support monthly close activities, including reconciliations, flux analysis, bookings/revenue and CARR/ARR flash reporting, and inputs for board reporting
  - Partner cross-functionally (Finance, Sales, Customer Success, etc.) to forecast subscription and project-based revenue
  - Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Legal, and Rev (Sales) Ops to ensure revenue recognition is accurate and scalable from contract inception.
  - Prepare routine and ad hoc reporting on financial and operational performance
  - Identify and implement process improvements and automation to enhance efficiency and scalability
  - Support and/or lead implementation and optimization of financial systems, including order to cash aspects of Salesforce, Maxio, and Sage Intacct

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field or equivalent experience

Experience:

- - 5-8+ years of experience in ownership of revenue accounting or financial analysis, primarily in a SaaS environment
  - Command of ASC 606 and experience applying it in complex, high-growth environments
  - Experience evaluating non-standard contracts and advising on revenue implications
  - Experience with contract review, billing operations, and subscription-based revenue models
  - Proficiency with financial systems and tools such as Salesforce, Maxio, Sage Intacct, or similar platforms
  - Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities
  - Proven ability to build and improve scalable processes in a high-growth or evolving environment
  - Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  - Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
  - CPA or progress toward CPA a plus
  - Experience working with healthcare systems or healthcare SaaS customers a plus
  - Experience leveraging automation or AI-enabled tools to improve accounting workflows is a plus

Supervisory Responsibilities

This role does not have any direct reports and is a single contributor role.

Working Environment and Travel Requirements

Work is typically in a normal office administrative environment involving minimal exposure to physical risks. Position requires little to moderate physical activity. Mostly sedentary work exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally or a negligible amount of force to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. No significant stooping is usually required.
